The Missionary Sisters of Mary Mediatrix of Graces (MSMMG) is a Catholic religious congregation of women founded in Nigeria on December 8, 2023, by Sr. Mariamunachimsoaga Unoaku Egbeigwe, MSMMG. A native of Offozalla Umudunu village in Abagana, Njikoka Local Government Area, Anambra State, Sr. Maria established the congregation in deep faith during a time of national economic hardship under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The congregation was founded on the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary—symbolizing purity, hope, and divine grace—amid social and governmental challenges. Its founding serves as a response to God’s unfailing mercy and an expression of love, gratitude, and glorification of Him.
Sr. Maria’s vision for the Missionary Sisters is to be a beacon of compassion—offering love to both God and a wounded society. Inspired by Christ, who gave His life as a ransom for humanity, the Sisters are called to live a life of total self-giving through the Church.
Members of the congregation commit themselves to the Evangelical Counsels: poverty, chastity, and obedience. Through these vows, they live in community, dedicating their lives to God and serving others with humility, joy, and love.
